Nairobi National Park Safari
Bordering the capital city of Nairobi, in beautiful Kenya, the Nairobi National Park is one of Africa’s smallest parks and one of the only parks on earth to be in such close proximity to a city centre. It boasts a large and varied wildlife population, amid wide open grass plains against a backdrop of city scrapers. The park is home to one of Kenya’s most successful rhinoceros sanctuaries with the world’s highest concentration of black rhinoceros. Its wetland areas are abundant with birdlife boasting over 400 bird species. Visitors can enjoy the many facilities the park has to offer such as scenic picnic sites, well-positioned campsites, and hiking trails. Commonly spotted species include lion, hyena, warthog, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, gazelle, buffalo, and sometimes if you’re lucky, leopard and cheetah.
This full day tour of Nairobi National Park, is an excellent way to begin or end your East Africa safari. 07am- 10am – Nairobi Park Tour – Enjoy wildlife game viewing at Nairobi National park with close luck of lions and rhino among other animals
11.00hrs-12.00hrs: Visit the David Sheldrick Elephant orphanage, where young orphaned elephants are brought after being rescued and fed till they are mature to be released to the wild.
12.00 -12.30hrs: Visit the Giraffe Centre where you feed the friendly Rothchilds Giraffe. They accept a kiss as they pick their food from your palms! Stop over at some shopping areas enroute.
12.45-13.45hrs: You break for lunch at the Love Birds Paradise restaurant (a la carte).
1400-14.45hrs: Visit the Kobe Beads Factory
Kobe Bead Factory The next stop visit Kobe Bead Factory. This is a pottery company that makes one of the world most beautiful beads. You will be shown all the stages from the start to the finish. It’s also a unique factory as it employs single mother parents from the poor neighborhood who earn a living to support their families. This pottery, ceramic and bead factory employs all single mothers to make its beautiful gifts and souvenirs – which are now exported all around the world.
15.30: Drop at airport for onward flight / your hotel for a deserved rest.
